The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Maluru plotted against Karnataka and India. The SNDi of new construction in Maluru rose steadily, compared to Karnataka which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and India which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Maluru's incremental SNDi rose from 2.63 to 3.68 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Maluru ranked 53rd out of 96 cities in Karnataka and 558th out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

In new street additions, Maluru built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Koson built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Paradise fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Maluru and Koson both became progressively more disconnected, while Paradise fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Maluru had a more connected network than Koson in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
