The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Simdega plotted against Jharkhand and India. The SNDi of new construction in Simdega followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Jharkhand which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and India which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Simdega's incremental SNDi fell from 3.66 to 2.23 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Simdega ranked 5th out of 46 cities in Jharkhand and 45th out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

In new street additions, Simdega fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Berastagi fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Brandon built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Looking at the full network, Berastagi and Brandon both became progressively more disconnected, while Simdega fluctuated in connectivity.
