The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Ghatsila plotted against Jharkhand and India. The SNDi of new construction in Ghatsila rose steadily, compared to Jharkhand which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and India which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Ghatsila's incremental SNDi rose from 5.88 to 6.14 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Ghatsila ranked 44th out of 46 cities in Jharkhand and 1562nd out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

In new street additions, Ghatsila built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Babanusah fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Chanpatia built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Ghatsila and Chanpatia both became progressively more disconnected, while Babanusah fluctuated in connectivity.
