The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Sikka plotted against Gujarat and India. While Gujarat and India both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Sikka's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Sikka's incremental SNDi rose from 4.44 to 6.59 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Sikka ranked 68th out of 92 cities in Gujarat and 1337th out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

In new street additions, Sikka and Novocheboksarsk both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Gwarzo built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full street network, though, all three cities follow the same trend. Sikka and Gwarzo have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
