The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Nadiad plotted against Gujarat and India. The SNDi of new construction in Nadiad was at its lowest in 1976-1990, compared to Gujarat which rose steadily and India which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Nadiad's incremental SNDi rose from 5.16 to 6.53 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Nadiad ranked 84th out of 92 cities in Gujarat and 1604th out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

In new street additions, Nadiad built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Bharatpur fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Sanhur built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Looking at the full network, Bharatpur and Sanhur both became progressively more disconnected, while Nadiad became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. Nadiad and Sanhur have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
