The SNDi of new construction in Dongargarh rose steadily, compared to Chhattisgarh which rose steadily and India which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Dongargarh's incremental SNDi rose from 4.75 to 5.97 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Dongargarh built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Dogonbadan built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Upington fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Dongargarh became progressively more disconnected, while Dogonbadan became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards and Upington grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Dongargarh and Dogonbadan have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
