The SNDi of new construction in Puranigudam followed a zig-zag trend, compared to Assam which rose steadily and India which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. In terms of the aggregate network, Puranigudam ranked 4th out of 67 cities in Assam and 69th out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

In new street additions, Puranigudam fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Purwa built increasingly connected streets over time and Baga built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Puranigudam became progressively more connected, while Purwa became progressively more connected and Baga became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. Notably, Puranigudam had a more sprawly network than Baga in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
