The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Patras plotted against Peloponnese, Western Greece and and Greece. While Peloponnese, Western Greece and and Greece both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Patras's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Patras's incremental SNDi rose from 3.14 to 3.24 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Patras ranked 1st out of 1 cities in Peloponnese, Western Greece and and 7th out of 8 in Greece as of 2020.

In new street additions, Patras fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Afikpo built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Huangpi built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Patras and Afikpo both became progressively more disconnected, while Huangpi became progressively more connected. Patras and Huangpi have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
