The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Bekwai plotted against Ashanti and Ghana. The SNDi of new construction in Bekwai rose steadily, compared to Ashanti which rose steadily and Ghana which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Bekwai's incremental SNDi rose from 6.41 to 6.7 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Bekwai ranked 6th out of 7 cities in Ashanti and 38th out of 53 in Ghana as of 2020.

In new street additions, Bekwai built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Chafe built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Ninh Cường built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Bekwai and Chafe both became progressively more disconnected, while Ninh Cường became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Bekwai and Ninh Cường have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
