The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Siegen plotted against Nordrhein-Westfalen and Germany. The SNDi of new construction in Siegen followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Nordrhein-Westfalen which rose steadily and Germany which rose steadily. In new street additions, Siegen and Huguan both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Zhongshan built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Siegen and Zhongshan both became progressively more disconnected, while Huguan fluctuated in connectivity.
