The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Dormagen plotted against Nordrhein-Westfalen and Germany. The SNDi of new construction in Dormagen followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease, compared to Nordrhein-Westfalen which rose steadily and Germany which rose steadily. Most recently, Dormagen's incremental SNDi fell from 3.12 to 2.97 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Dormagen ranked 23rd out of 24 cities in Nordrhein-Westfalen and 94th out of 99 in Germany as of 2020.

While Goba and Vwawa both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, Dormagen fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Goba and Vwawa both became progressively more disconnected, while Dormagen fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Dormagen had a more sprawly network than Vwawa in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
