What about similarly populated cities?
- Imperatriz, Brazil
- Nalchik, Russia
- Córdoba, Spain
- Galați, Romania
- Kuantan, Malaysia
- Bielefeld, Germany
In new street additions, Kassel and Galați both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Imperatriz fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full street network, though, all three cities follow the same trend. Notably, Kassel had a more sprawly network than Imperatriz in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
