The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Wukro plotted against Tigray and Ethiopia. The SNDi of new construction in Wukro peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Tigray which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Ethiopia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Wukro's incremental SNDi fell from 1.95 to 1.78 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Wukro ranked 3rd out of 12 cities in Tigray and 9th out of 181 in Ethiopia as of 2020.

In new street additions, Wukro built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Midu built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Shikrapur built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Wukro and Midu both became progressively more disconnected, while Shikrapur became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. Wukro and Midu have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
