The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Adwa plotted against Tigray and Ethiopia. The SNDi of new construction in Adwa rose steadily, compared to Tigray which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Ethiopia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Adwa's incremental SNDi rose from 2.42 to 3.17 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Adwa ranked 9th out of 12 cities in Tigray and 96th out of 181 in Ethiopia as of 2020.
