The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Sodo plotted against Southern Nations, Nationalities and Ethiopia. All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Sodo's incremental SNDi rose from 1.59 to 1.88 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Sodo ranked 3rd out of 39 cities in Southern Nations, Nationalities and 17th out of 181 in Ethiopia as of 2020.
