The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Shinshicho plotted against Southern Nations, Nationalities and Ethiopia. The SNDi of new construction in Shinshicho rose steadily, compared to Southern Nations, Nationalities which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Ethiopia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Shinshicho's incremental SNDi rose from 1.71 to 2.67 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Shinshicho ranked 5th out of 39 cities in Southern Nations, Nationalities and 21st out of 181 in Ethiopia as of 2020.

While Hannan District and Pattani both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, Shinshicho built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street additions. For the full network, Shinshicho and Pattani both became progressively more disconnected, while Hannan District fluctuated in connectivity.
