The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Hadero plotted against Southern Nations, Nationalities and Ethiopia. All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Hadero's incremental SNDi rose from 1.56 to 4.5 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Hadero ranked 11th out of 39 cities in Southern Nations, Nationalities and 38th out of 181 in Ethiopia as of 2020.

In new street additions, Hadero and Zhapu both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Bangkalan built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Hadero and Bangkalan both became progressively more disconnected, while Zhapu grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Hadero and Zhapu have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
