The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Mojo plotted against Oromia and Ethiopia. All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Mojo's incremental SNDi rose from 2.28 to 3.1 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Mojo ranked 42nd out of 71 cities in Oromia and 97th out of 181 in Ethiopia as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
Mojo, Moussoro, and Shimen all fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street construction. Looking at the full network, Moussoro and Shimen both fluctuated in connectivity, while Mojo became progressively more disconnected. Notably, Mojo had a more sprawly network than Moussoro in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
