The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Kersa plotted against Oromia and Ethiopia. The SNDi of new construction in Kersa rose steadily, compared to Oromia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Ethiopia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Kersa's incremental SNDi rose from 2.12 to 3.03 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Kersa ranked 13th out of 71 cities in Oromia and 37th out of 181 in Ethiopia as of 2020.

In new street additions, Kersa built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Sujanagar fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Krishnai fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Kersa became progressively more disconnected, while Sujanagar became progressively more disconnected and Krishnai became progressively more connected. Kersa and Sujanagar have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
