The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Dodolla plotted against Oromia and Ethiopia. The SNDi of new construction in Dodolla rose steadily, compared to Oromia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Ethiopia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Dodolla's incremental SNDi rose from 1.15 to 1.5 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Dodolla ranked 1st out of 71 cities in Oromia and 3rd out of 181 in Ethiopia as of 2020.

In new street additions, Dodolla and Chittoor both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Sehore fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Dodolla and Chittoor both became progressively more disconnected, while Sehore fluctuated in connectivity. Dodolla and Chittoor have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
