The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Bedele plotted against Oromia and Ethiopia. The SNDi of new construction in Bedele rose steadily, compared to Oromia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Ethiopia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Bedele's incremental SNDi rose from 3.42 to 4.78 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Bedele ranked 51st out of 71 cities in Oromia and 131st out of 181 in Ethiopia as of 2020.
