The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Babille plotted against Oromia and Ethiopia. The SNDi of new construction in Babille rose steadily, compared to Oromia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Ethiopia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Babille's incremental SNDi rose from 1.99 to 2.93 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Babille ranked 23rd out of 71 cities in Oromia and 56th out of 181 in Ethiopia as of 2020.

For the full network, Babille and Ujung Batu both became progressively more disconnected, while Changling fluctuated in connectivity. Babille and Changling have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
