The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Asendabo plotted against Oromia and Ethiopia. The SNDi of new construction in Asendabo rose steadily, compared to Oromia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Ethiopia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Asendabo's incremental SNDi rose from 1.53 to 2.88 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Asendabo ranked 14th out of 71 cities in Oromia and 43rd out of 181 in Ethiopia as of 2020.

In new street additions, Asendabo and Sumerpur both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Sunshine Coast built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full street network, though, all three cities follow the same trend.
