The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Kombolcha plotted against Amhara and Ethiopia. The SNDi of new construction in Kombolcha rose steadily, compared to Amhara which rose steadily and Ethiopia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Kombolcha's incremental SNDi rose from 4.42 to 5.49 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Kombolcha built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Ninghai County fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Gold Coast built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Kombolcha and Ninghai County both became progressively more disconnected, while Gold Coast grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Kombolcha and Ninghai County have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
