In new street additions, Bechena built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Dédougou fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Usta Muhammad built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Bechena and Dédougou both became progressively more disconnected, while Usta Muhammad grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Notably, Bechena had a more connected network than Usta Muhammad in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
