The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Adis Zemen plotted against Amhara and Ethiopia. While Amhara and Ethiopia both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Adis Zemen's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Adis Zemen's incremental SNDi rose from 2.67 to 3.74 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Adis Zemen ranked 26th out of 41 cities in Amhara and 127th out of 181 in Ethiopia as of 2020.

In new street additions, Adis Zemen fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Ambalangoda built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Nurrār built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Adis Zemen fluctuated in connectivity, while Ambalangoda became progressively more disconnected and Nurrār became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Adis Zemen and Nurrār have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
