The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Maragha plotted against Suhaj and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Maragha rose steadily, compared to Suhaj which peaked in 1991-2005 and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Maragha's incremental SNDi rose from 9.56 to 9.89 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Maragha ranked 13th out of 13 cities in Suhaj and 212th out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, Maragha built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Uppsala built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Shenxian fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Maragha and Uppsala both became progressively more disconnected, while Shenxian became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards.
