The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with El-Usayrat plotted against Suhaj and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in El-Usayrat rose steadily, compared to Suhaj which peaked in 1991-2005 and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, El-Usayrat's incremental SNDi rose from 7.29 to 8.23 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, El-Usayrat ranked 10th out of 13 cities in Suhaj and 185th out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, El-Usayrat built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Warrington built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Qionghai fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, El-Usayrat and Warrington both became progressively more disconnected, while Qionghai fluctuated in connectivity. El-Usayrat and Qionghai have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
