The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Fashn plotted against Bani Suwayf and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Fashn was at its lowest in 1991-2005, compared to Bani Suwayf which rose steadily and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Fashn's incremental SNDi rose from 3.7 to 5.86 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Fashn ranked 10th out of 12 cities in Bani Suwayf and 158th out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, Fashn built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Ningyuan built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Rajgangpur fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Fashn became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards, while Ningyuan grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Rajgangpur fluctuated in connectivity. Fashn and Ningyuan have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
