The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Sunbo plotted against Asyut and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Sunbo rose steadily, compared to Asyut which rose steadily and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Sunbo's incremental SNDi rose from 3.85 to 4.65 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Sunbo ranked 3rd out of 18 cities in Asyut and 83rd out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, Sunbo and Ikire both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while El Eulma fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Sunbo and Ikire both became progressively more disconnected, while El Eulma fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Sunbo had a more sprawly network than Ikire in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
