The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Sidfa plotted against Asyut and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Sidfa rose steadily, compared to Asyut which rose steadily and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Sidfa's incremental SNDi rose from 5.81 to 6.52 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Sidfa ranked 14th out of 18 cities in Asyut and 173rd out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, Sidfa built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Balyana built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Quelimane fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Sidfa and Quelimane both became progressively more disconnected, while Balyana grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved.
