The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Manfalut plotted against Asyut and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Manfalut rose steadily, compared to Asyut which rose steadily and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Manfalut's incremental SNDi rose from 4.59 to 4.68 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Manfalut ranked 10th out of 18 cities in Asyut and 134th out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

Manfalut, Pala, and Katiadi all built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street construction. The same pattern holds for the full street network. Notably, Manfalut had a more sprawly network than Katiadi in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
