The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Madaba plotted against Asyut and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Madaba was at its lowest in 1991-2005, compared to Asyut which rose steadily and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Madaba's incremental SNDi rose from 5.87 to 7.8 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Madaba ranked 17th out of 18 cities in Asyut and 198th out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

While Swords and Heyang both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, Madaba built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns in new street additions. For the full network, Madaba became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards, while Swords grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Heyang became progressively more disconnected.
