The SNDi of new construction in Beni Adi was at its lowest in 1976-1990, compared to Asyut which rose steadily and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Beni Adi's incremental SNDi rose from 1.93 to 2.84 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Beni Adi built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Lhokseumawe built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Suijiang fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Beni Adi became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards, while Lhokseumawe became progressively more disconnected and Suijiang became progressively more connected. Beni Adi and Lhokseumawe have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
