What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Aswan and Kadapa both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Neijiang built increasingly connected streets over time. For the full network, Aswan and Kadapa both became progressively more disconnected, while Neijiang grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Aswan and Neijiang have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
