The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Faqous plotted against Ash Sharqiyah and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Faqous rose steadily, compared to Ash Sharqiyah which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Faqous's incremental SNDi rose from 3.56 to 3.94 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Faqous ranked 21st out of 28 cities in Ash Sharqiyah and 92nd out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, Faqous built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Kamoke built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Dongyang fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Faqous and Dongyang both became progressively more disconnected, while Kamoke became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. Faqous and Dongyang have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
