The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with El Azizia plotted against Ash Sharqiyah and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in El Azizia rose steadily, compared to Ash Sharqiyah which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, El Azizia's incremental SNDi rose from 4.88 to 5.44 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, El Azizia ranked 28th out of 28 cities in Ash Sharqiyah and 145th out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

For the full network, El Azizia became progressively more disconnected, while Angor became progressively more disconnected and Ardakan fluctuated in connectivity. El Azizia and Angor have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
