The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Al Tallin plotted against Ash Sharqiyah and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Al Tallin was at its lowest in 1976-1990, compared to Ash Sharqiyah which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Al Tallin's incremental SNDi rose from 2.6 to 3.02 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Al Tallin ranked 9th out of 28 cities in Ash Sharqiyah and 55th out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, Al Tallin built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Shikrapur built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Burton Latimer built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Al Tallin became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards, while Shikrapur became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards and Burton Latimer became progressively more disconnected. Al Tallin and Shikrapur have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
