The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Al Qaramus plotted against Ash Sharqiyah and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Al Qaramus peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Ash Sharqiyah which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Al Qaramus's incremental SNDi fell from 3.79 to 3.55 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Al Qaramus ranked 23rd out of 28 cities in Ash Sharqiyah and 105th out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, Al Qaramus and Gumaca both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Ifetedo built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Al Qaramus and Gumaca both became progressively more disconnected, while Ifetedo became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Notably, Al Qaramus had a more sprawly network than Gumaca in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
