The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Al Aras plotted against Ash Sharqiyah and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Al Aras followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Ash Sharqiyah which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Al Aras's incremental SNDi fell from 3.25 to 3.25 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Al Aras ranked 18th out of 28 cities in Ash Sharqiyah and 82nd out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, Al Aras and Bucheki both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Wardaga built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Looking at the full network, Bucheki and Wardaga both became progressively more connected, while Al Aras became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards.
