The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Hour plotted against Al Minya and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Hour rose steadily, compared to Al Minya which rose steadily and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Hour's incremental SNDi rose from 5.01 to 7.85 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Hour ranked 14th out of 24 cities in Al Minya and 150th out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, Hour built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Lingqiu built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Fotang fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Hour became progressively more disconnected, while Lingqiu grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Fotang fluctuated in connectivity. Hour and Lingqiu have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
