The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Dalga‘a plotted against Al Minya and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Dalga‘a rose steadily, compared to Al Minya which rose steadily and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Dalga‘a's incremental SNDi rose from 4.52 to 5.5 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Dalga‘a ranked 3rd out of 24 cities in Al Minya and 79th out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, Dalga‘a and Zhaoxian both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Naivasha fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full street network, though, all three cities follow the same trend. Dalga‘a and Naivasha have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
