The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Samadon plotted against Al Minufiyah and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Samadon was at its lowest in 1976-1990, compared to Al Minufiyah which rose steadily and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Samadon's incremental SNDi rose from 4.46 to 4.63 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Samadon ranked 11th out of 15 cities in Al Minufiyah and 131st out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, Samadon and Xiuwen both built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Xiangning built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Samadon and Xiuwen both became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards, while Xiangning grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved.
