The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Ashmoun plotted against Al Minufiyah and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Ashmoun was at its lowest in 1976-1990, compared to Al Minufiyah which rose steadily and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Ashmoun's incremental SNDi rose from 3.41 to 3.74 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Ashmoun ranked 9th out of 15 cities in Al Minufiyah and 98th out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, Ashmoun built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Bori built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Kahuta fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Ashmoun became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards, while Bori became progressively more disconnected and Kahuta fluctuated in connectivity. Ashmoun and Bori have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
