The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Al Shuhada plotted against Al Minufiyah and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Al Shuhada followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Al Minufiyah which rose steadily and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Al Shuhada's incremental SNDi fell from 3.33 to 3.23 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Al Shuhada ranked 6th out of 15 cities in Al Minufiyah and 76th out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, Al Shuhada fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Tanduru built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Jamame fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Al Shuhada fluctuated in connectivity, while Tanduru became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards and Jamame grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Notably, Al Shuhada had a more sprawly network than Tanduru in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
