The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Al Ayyat plotted against Al Jizah and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Al Ayyat peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Al Jizah which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Al Ayyat's incremental SNDi fell from 5.92 to 5.23 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Al Ayyat built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Rajsamand fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Nabatieh fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Al Ayyat became progressively more disconnected, while Rajsamand fluctuated in connectivity and Nabatieh became progressively more connected. Notably, Al Ayyat had a more connected network than Nabatieh in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
