The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Masrif Shinu plotted against Al Gharbiyah and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Masrif Shinu was at its lowest in 1976-1990, compared to Al Gharbiyah which rose steadily and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Masrif Shinu's incremental SNDi rose from 3.88 to 4.22 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Masrif Shinu ranked 10th out of 13 cities in Al Gharbiyah and 117th out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, Masrif Shinu built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Jacona de Plancarte fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Gerlingen built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Looking at the full network, Jacona de Plancarte and Gerlingen both became progressively more disconnected, while Masrif Shinu became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards.
