The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Mahalah Zeyad plotted against Al Gharbiyah and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Mahalah Zeyad rose steadily, compared to Al Gharbiyah which rose steadily and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Mahalah Zeyad's incremental SNDi rose from 1.94 to 3.47 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Mahalah Zeyad ranked 1st out of 13 cities in Al Gharbiyah and 6th out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, Mahalah Zeyad built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Selebi Phikwe built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Laxminia fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Mahalah Zeyad and Selebi Phikwe both became progressively more disconnected, while Laxminia became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards.
