The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Al-Santa plotted against Al Gharbiyah and Egypt. The SNDi of new construction in Al-Santa rose steadily, compared to Al Gharbiyah which rose steadily and Egypt which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Al-Santa's incremental SNDi rose from 4.19 to 4.36 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Al-Santa ranked 9th out of 13 cities in Al Gharbiyah and 111th out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, Al-Santa and Renqiu both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Tete built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Al-Santa and Renqiu both became progressively more disconnected, while Tete became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. Al-Santa and Tete have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
