The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Bilqas plotted against Ad Daqahliyah and Egypt. While Ad Daqahliyah and Egypt both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Bilqas's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Bilqas's incremental SNDi rose from 2.13 to 3.41 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Bilqas ranked 2nd out of 22 cities in Ad Daqahliyah and 10th out of 213 in Egypt as of 2020.

In new street additions, Bilqas fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Yingshang built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Surigao City built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Bilqas and Surigao City both became progressively more disconnected, while Yingshang grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Bilqas and Surigao City have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
